G502 Hero or DeathAdder V2?

Hello everyone. As you read in the title i want to buy a new mouse . I am between these 2 :Logitech G502 Hero or Razer DeathAdder V2. Which one would you recommend for gaming usage? My budget is 50-60$ so if you have any other suggestions i'd be glad to hear them. My current mouse is G502 Proteus Spectrum but it costs over 150$ now so getting the same one again is out of the question.Thank you 🙂

I have the original G502 and we got my GF the Hero last year. They are virtually identical in almost every way except the RGB logo and the "hardware" laser changed, though performance is absolutely identical to someone like me who plays FPs games but not professionally.

If you like the feel and functionality of the current Protus Spectrum, get another hero. If you're looking to switch it up, the deathadder is a very good mouse from what I've been told. If you can before though, find a store like best Buy, microcenter or any electronic store that sells the mouse and see if you can "try it" (is it comfy in your hand?)

Grip style: Claw, hand size i guess Medium? I dont know exactly but i tried both the Deathadder and the G502 and they both fit perfect to my hands. I just want a mouse that wont double click after a year and will last about as much as my Spectrum did (3-4 years)

Here you go. https://www.rocketjumpninja.com/mouse-search

For claw, you need a smaller and light mouse.

That's going to come down to luck. Both the mice you mentioned above use the same switches. I know personally I would trust Logitech before anything Razer, and that's from someone with three repaired Logitech mice in the house.

if the only thing wrong with your 502 currently is it's double clicking, you could replace the switches. Fairly common repair on those. Does require soldering though. Usually upgrading to a higher quality switch will eliminate the problem for a long time.

A few years ago I would've said the same, but Razer's quality has improved a ton since the Viper, whereas Logitech's has only gotten worse. The Deathadder in this case has optical switches which eliminates the possibility of double-clicking entirely, while Logitech obstinately sticks to cheap Omrons running out of spec.

This is a very weird question. The two aren't even really comparable, they're so different in shape and design philosophy. No offense, but saying you're picking between these two mice and that both feel good to you kind of makes it seem like you haven't really looked at too many mice besides the most popular stuff they put on display at Best Buy or really thought about this much.

Deathadder V2 uses optical switches, actually. So in theory if avoiding the double-click is the main concern, that would be the way to go, between these two choices at least.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
