Are intel stock coolers or amd stock coolers better?

yessertyyy

In the past, AMD's stock coolers have always been superior to Intel's. Not sure if it has changed with Intel's redesigned stock cooler, but looking at the side difference, I doubt it.

I don't see how it much matters, since it's not like you can swap an AMD cooler on to an Intel chip or vice versa, at least without resorting to sketchy zip-tie mounting systems and such?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

They are both good enough to meet the published CPU performance. In case it needs to be spelt out, that means the minimum guaranteed performance, not max turbo always.

Intel coolers in the Core 2 era had a fair bit of metal to them. They shrunk during the Core i series era though. Likewise with AMD, 1st gen Ryzen coolers were generous on the metal but they've been reduced a lot since. Not really much between them. Note there are different coolers depending on the target power of the CPU, but you'd want to be using the better stock coolers on lower end CPUs if you want more sustained boost out of them.
