EVEN considering that we as going to use both cards

in a multi card

Everyone can have their own opinion. But does not deserve to be attacked in a negative way. You guys don't need to be mean. This should be a positive and healthy environment for OPs and members. And I thought initially that I could learn from you too, based from your experience. But to my disappointment. No wonder why you got only 1.9% solved solution rate so far. Do the math. I couldn't care less about my "solved solution rate." I've been here several years now and I participate in lots of discussions where nobody is ever going to get that checkmark that's clearly so precious to you. Unlike some who come through here, I didn't register on this forum to position myself as some sort of guru and stroke my ego by posting Dunning-Kreuger responses to every query. If someone asks for help and I have useful info to offer, I offer it. If I don't, I keep my mouth shut... unless I see someone posting what I know to be bad info that will just lead to people wasting money. 

 

Nobody "attacked you in a negative way" (as opposed to a positive way, I suppose). We told you your advice was bad, which it was. People who are new to PC's come here a lot looking for guidance and if you give them poor guidance, you're going to get called on it, forcefully, because those newbies are the ones who are most vulnerable to being led astray. If you can't handle that pushback, save your advice for the audience of your customers who don't know any better. 

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Still, I think 1200W is a bit too high. Unless you're running dual SLI of RTX2080, you' don't need that high power, for the time being at least.

people here very numb about the wattage number. A space heater that heats a room quite quickly pulls 1500W

Just giving a reference point for your sense on the magnitude. If a PC actually pulls 1200W, it should blast heat nearly the level of a space heater!

I don't think those 2 GPUs consume that kind of power at their 100% load

(with 80% efficiency, wall draw is exactly 1500W which is no less than actual space heater)

nothing in this universe can break the first law of thermodynamics. pulled energy has to go somewhere
