Seller called me and told me my card will die and he will replace it

Hello, yesterday I bought second handed GIGABYTE AORUS GTX 1080 Rev. 2.0 I install drivers, etc. everything work fine. Today seller called me and said my card will die in few days because of something his friend did to card. He assured me he will replaced it for same, which will work. I am not sure if its scam. bench it and comapare to other gtx 1080s, if the scroes are similar you are fine

but how he knows when somethign is wrong, when he does not knwo what is wrong?

 

check temps, voltages, adn power usage, if they are normal, then nothing is wrong

Probably he tempered with gpu bios, thats my concern since on techpowerup is not verified

Bios is ok, found it on gigabyte site. I opened gpu, repaste it and used lens to check almost every condensator. Nothing damaged. He probably want to sell it for more. Bought it for 450euros

Can you just flash that official Gigabyte BIOS and then maybe you can stop worrying in the long run?  The rest seems fine.  That seller seems sketchy.
