Other than Bocchi the Rock and Urusei Yatsura (which is itself a redone adaptation of animanga from late 70s and 80s) yes, there was barely anything interesting.

just curious do you guys consider Manhwa even though they are Korean comics an manga. if so there are  some decent ones just as an FYI like  mercenary enrollment, Eleceed and Noblesse.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the style(the way its presented). Super long strips with big panels...
I won't deny the fact that I like the fact most are in color and art style is usually nice, but... Let just say, this doesn't read as well as a regular Japanese manga for me. Large swats of it is often all white or black and you have to scroll further down. By then I've forgotten what was just before.

Since this thread has kind of moved on from the original purpose hope people don't mind if ask what they find appealing about anime. The reason I ask is I'm putting together an animation test for Avatar and ideally should understand what people enjoy especially with variants that come from Nick. The studio has guys like Tom Barkel, they're an Australian studio and I have no idea if they're willing to hire Canadians but just thought I'd ask what people enjoy about anime. Do you like Barkel's fan animation:

As for why I enjoy anime: It is full of infinite possibilities.

If someone can imagine it, and carries the artistic skill to draw it, they can make it in anime.

much corruption in the scene, and rights that a lot of media tries to go around or sneakly take away. While also placing a lot of threats on the workers.
Also how piracy is encouraged by corrupt "legal" streaming sites that might not give the money to the workers in question. bless physical straight from the source releases.

So basically...

CR approached the game studio and told them they couldn't legally reuse the same English VA as the anime itself. Be it as their own characters or different ones. They lied. There's nothing in the VA contracts that says they cannot voice the same characters or even audition for the game as different character. The game studio got scared off and will be doing their own things.

We already knew CR was not actor friendly, but in my opinion this was a whole new level. They obviously have no problem going to potential future clients *without your knowledge* and robbing you as an actor of the opportunity to even audition for work

Never paid or used crunchyroll, all of the western anime streaming services seem to do scummy stuff. Translators who change subtitles and at worst completely changing character dialogues effecting the story.

Fan subs all the way for me, if I like the series I'll buy merch and books.

Why do localizers do this?... Just going by the speech bubbles it's clearly not Saitama talking twice. One bubble is him talking, the other one is someone else(Flashy Flash) responding.

Viz being garbage is really nothing new. They've ALWAYS been trash. Their translators barely actually translate. They make up their own stories and dialogues.

I like fan subs too, but I'm also glad that regional localizers in my region (South East Asia) are way closer to the JP dubs. (Muse Asia, etc).

I recommend every seinen fan in here "Monster" by Urusawa (he had also written 20th century boys).
