I fucking hate MatLab.

 

 

I'm gonna be getting the name on 1 backplate to be "Death" and the other 1 is gonna be "To Voltage"

 

Or make one Sadist and one Masochist. 

Sadist on the top PCI slot of course.

here is no fglrx installed according to the xorg log:

Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/radeon_drv.so...[    16.120] (EE) open /dev/dri/card0: No such file or directory
etc. radeon is the code name for the open source driver but the device /dev/dri/card0 is not present (it should be created by the kernel's radeon driver).
 
Also if you installed fglrx packages other system libraries are overwritten (this is done before the driver compilation) so you most likely wont have 3d rendering. You will have to remove every package related to fglrx and reinstall the mesa packages (libgl1-mesa-dri and others like it) to come clean.
 
PS the Fury is new AFAIK and it might not have open source drivers in Jessie. You should install the latest kernel from backports (4.1 i think) and see if it works. But unfortunately mesa is oldish (10.3.x) in Jessie so the rendering might be off anyway.
PS2 The .deb fglrx doesnt always work. For me only the generic script worked from AMD's site consistently (its a while back since i use the git OSS driver for a long time).

I don't know why you can't.

 

I'm using fglrx updates which is the beta driver and its been working fine.

 

It is in the default repos on ubuntu though so I haven't really had to mess around with them.

 

Also I'm on kernel 3.19 so that really shouldn't be an issue.

 

Could you elaborate on your problem though. Like either I missed it or I'm totally lost. Is it just messing up when you try to install it?
