They're ranks you earn by participating in the community. This was introduced in the recent forum update and replaces the old title system that was based on the number of posts you had.

Any plans on a progress indicator or system to explain the interaction required to reach each rank?

On mobile you can see your "experience" bar progress towards the next level, not sure where to find it on desktop.

Just making the window smaller will do it, or zooming (Ctrl + Mouse scroll wheel up) far enough in for it to switch to mobile view.

I also drive a volvo as one does being norwegian haha, a volvo v70 d3 from 2016.

Reliability was a key thing and its my second car, working pretty well for its 6 years age xD

We had customer member titles prior to the November 5th update that required 500 posts, which you had. However this was removed by the software vendor.

Saw people ask about it from years earlier but never found the setting in the account settings or profile settings.. Just assumed it was unlocked at 1k or something..

Umm.. I haven't found I was to see the progress bar... also I don't find anywhere what the requirements for each rank is... I can speculate by seeing someone of the immediate level above but... Isn't there any functionality to be able to know more?

 

Also what about the "solutions" counter? How do you get that or mark another's post as a "solution"? I mean I've been on the forum for many years although not really been a super active user in years... If I'm on 4/14 and I'm in the top 2% percentile... what's the real use of this ranking system? I'm not really complaining I'm just curious as the why you guys decided to implement this new ranking system. Is it used in other forums or did you guys just think it would be fun? Genuinely curious!

When you create a topic you can mark a reply as the solution with the checkmark button under their reply.

It was introduced by the forum software developers Invision.
