Cordless Soldering Iron?

I've been looking for a new cordless soldering iron. I've had the same $30 Adafruit soldering iron for 3 or so years now, works great, but I'm sick of the cord.

 

Hakko Soldering Irons are generally considered some of the best(from what I've seen based on the community) but they're corded and I'm looking for something a little less tethered.

Here and there I have seen all sorts of cordless soldering irons whether they be rechargeable by usb-c or micro usb, but I'm unsure of the quality.

There have been complaints about not reaching the specified temps the soldering irons claim or the batteries dying far too quickly.

 

If anyone has any recommendations from personal experience, I'm all ears.

The good ones have a proper charger unit and everything I doubt these usb ones are any decent quality what so ever.

 

Then again even the good cordless ones don't last long on battery since well it's a battery and a fair bit of power is needed to get to the right temperature and stay at it.

The only wireless soldering irons I have used were butane. A battery powered one sounds like a nightmare

Just keeping this here as a It is. Basically have to warm em up in the charger and then I had 5-20 minutes of battery life depending on what I was doing. I was so glad when I could use the cheap corded one again where I was working at the time after someone else "accidentally" let a piece of wood crush it :p. (manager wanted to do a cable clutter cleanup in the workshop so everything was being converted to battery powered devices. It lasted about 7 months before they realized we were barely doing 20% of the work we did before and after 2 battery fires :p).

So it's really sounding like I should just deal with the cord and buy a better corded soldering iron XD XD

People use butane/propane torches to solder copper piping etc. It's not really a soldering "iron".
