Is the GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) any good?

   these are the specs, I just got my hands on four brand new ones

It was great back in the day, doesn’t hold up well now because of the vram.

Less performance than a GTX 1050, so not very good by modern standards. Could be fun to mess around with though.

trying to sell them, because I don't know much about mining. and they are brand new. but the fans are broken. might play around with em instead, idk yet

right, just wonding. thought 1.5 was kinda low lol. but they do have mini hdmi ports. so was just wondering

As @HairlessMonkeyBoy says, they really only good to tweak about and as test bench card, or video output. I guess you could try to run voluntary compute task on them like with our F@H team.

Wow. Looks like they were previously used… that doesn’t just happen. But yeah, those cards aren’t useful for much other than just messin around with.

I had a pair of Gigabyte GTX 660s. The fans on them were crap. Always had trouble with them. Might be an extension of the same issue, since these are from around the same time.
