Furmark lower FPS and lower score on higher gpu clock and power limit?

unboxgeeks

Is that due to Nvidia built in Protection, when I run furmark at 113% power limit, it hits around 1750-1800Mhz and gives 200 FPS but when I run 113% power limit, it goes 2000-2040Mhz but at 155 FPS?

Nvidia driver will power limit furmark. Take a look in afterburner perf cap or gpuz and you'll see the driver actively limiting the card when furmark is used.

Furmark is good for temp testing, but otherwise it's considered a power virus and will be mitigated by the driver to protect the card.

Ignore the FPS in Furmark. Run an actual benchmark like 3DMark or an in game benchmark.

I was adjusting the OC curve in after burner and each time running furmark, if no black screen, I then ran timespy.

These tests i did couldn't damage the card by furmark due to the protection in place, correct?

P.s. I did not over volt, I kept 981mV as max pinned voltage in curve.

PerfCap should give you a reason why it is acting that way. On that note, Furmark usually maxes out power limit of your cards bios before hitting any other limit.

You just said the same thing twice, which makes no sense.  Might want to correct that.

Shouldn't cause any damage from furmark. Back in the day people were blowing out their cards using furmark. Nvidia implemented safeguards because of this. Not to say there are pieces of software that can and will damage your card if you're not careful.

If looking to test oc, power and temp limits... I can suggest OCCT.

one suggested this here:
Run BMI for 30 minutes and repeat until you do not crash in this test. DFenz has informed me through his testing that Hitman 2 seems to reveal instability better than many other games, so it may be useful for you to test using it as well. The free starter pack is available on steam here.
