I usually find cable management as the most time consuming and strenuous process when building a rig

I tend to make custom cables from scratch for all my main builds, makes cable management so much easier by using 16AWG wire. The only problems are that it takes a while, it's supremely tedious and rather expensive if you have a large build with lots of cables.

I try really hard to make most of my cables not even be visible, just the cables that are sleeved do I care that shows.

When i made my first rig in 2010, i didnt do any cable management on it.

Fast forward to 2014, and my rig was dying on me, i bought a h80 watercooler and i spent 3 hours on cable management. But i also cleaned out the dust from every nook and cranny, removed the HDD cage, repositioned my fans, and voila!

a pc i can "gift" on to my gf for her to use. coincidently, since i no longer had a pc, i just HAD to buy myself a new rig with a 'slight' upgrade.....

spending couple of days sleeving cables and stuff. its quite therapeutic for me to get my hand on something to do.

I can spend hours on cable management.. I get those "OCD" moments if there's something in my build I can't stand.

I take as long as I need to for cable management. Originally, I did it for purely aesthetics when I was all about dem LEDs and windowed side panels as a teen. But now I setup my cable management for unobstructed airflow and ease of access, meaning it won't be hard to change/move around anything in a system I build. As a bonus, they still come out aesthetically pleasing.

I haven't done a good job on my corsair 400r's cable management, but as soon as I decide which case I want, then I might spend a little bit more time on it. Depending on of course, if I have the free time.

I probably spend more time opening boxes then doing super neat cable management. Just keep it simple :)

I took about 45 minutes with cable management on my system. But only because I was using a case that was not designed with that in mind.

I took about 1 hour on the while on the build, but i look at and change it every week or too until it looks better. its one of those things that'll never be finished :/

with my Prodigy M, it took me hours. I mean I did just put it together first, and then took it apart at least three times to get it right. Surely is a b**** when it come to managing your cables.

It is something that bothers me a lot. Thinking back to my old HAF XB, that was an awesome case to build in. Cable management for dummies..

I have moded and rebuilded my pc like 10 times just because of cables. Now that I think of it, it doesnt make any sence expect that you know that the pc is built good. LOL

I re-do mine every time something gets added or removed from my tower. It's a fun 45 min to an hour time burner, and each time they get just a little nicer.

Never say it's not broken. Everything is broken. Why? Because everything needs MOAR POWA!

To be honest, not as long as I should do.

I will work on cable management the next time I strip my PC down.

Which should be soon, as I 'am in the process of getting Custom acrylic pieces for the case.

I try to do it as much as I can, I just can't stand not using options that are there. Even if it's just tucking some cables away behind something and tying them down with a zip tie. If you have a case with decent cable management and are willing to do some work, maybe some sleeving, I think you can achieve a really sleek look.

I'll put in a somewhat effort for cable management. But not to look good. Just to make airflow as smooth as possible. Beyond that I never look at the inside of my case.

The front end of my case where you can see is clean as hell its just the back part

I have a Caselabs M8 which is similar to the the AIR 540 in that there're two sides, one with the mobo and GPU's, the other side for all the cables and HDDs. Here's what it looks like on the display side (the other side's a complete mess!). I have a friend in another forum who has the AIR 540 as well, he did a damn nice job with the cable management as well....

Below is a pic of my 4th system which I'd lent to my brother, I'd recently gutted the original case and transferred the parts to a spare NZXT Phantom 410, spent a little time on cable management as my brother doesn't care, and I don't see it....spec-wise, AM2 5200+/4GB DDR2 800/Sapphire HD5770 VX/Corsair HX620W PSU. Admittedly, I did a piss poor job, but I don't use it and I just wasn't in the mood to do much after upgrading my main rig from a Thermaltake Level 10GT to the M8, then gutting my 3rd rig (Phantom 410) and transferring the parts to the Level 10GT. Then, I worked on the rig below.....just too pooped to care at that stage.
