Good in comparison to what? Other similar stock Pentiums? I don't think many people with that CPU bother running benchmarks, I have no idea.

Those are multiple times better this 4415u a core 2 quad q6600 beats this thing and that is 10 years older and not even that high end of a cpu.

That's why I have no interest in laptops. Just poor price to performance ratio.

A 7th gen i3 will almost be 70 percent faster than that sad excuse of a cpu that you have in your laptop.

Only half right.

This cpu is made to be low power and put into craptops (and for some reason a surface device). It's meant to be cheap, easy to make and low power. I mean this thing consumes under 15w (average consumption over time) the q6600 was around 85w.

If you get the right laptop for you you can get A LOT of laptop for the money. Yes desktops will be cheaper in the end and last longer BUT laptops have come a massive way from the past.

This is like saying a lambo is poor price/perf ratio, which might be true, its still damn nice to ride that $500k Countach… ~

Not really. For $250 laptop you can get would be some machine with a Celeron and a emmc and terrible 11 inch screen that will run like that it's barely chugging along. While for $250 you can easily build a desktop with a decent i5 and SSD and possibly a used graphics card (not counting for the GPU shortage).

Imo a good laptop can last forever, for example my lenovo "ideapad" feels and looks like brandnew, after ~3 years, and thats mostly because  its mostly made out of aluminum and has a nice screen (too bad the specs were never good and its seriously outdated by now , 2c/4t i5 + mx940… )

^actually win10 updates made it slow af, put win11 on it and its blazing fast again (for everyday usage)

yeah… but a laptop is a luxury item, like gucci, or lambo… get a nice one for 2-3k and it will blast u away~

laptop and ultra low budget dont get along well - and price/perf isnt everything, u also need to account for build quality, etc.
