Im a student about to move into student accom and i was wanting to get better fans as my current ones are very noisy when spun up and can still be noisy when running slower.

I am running a corsair 750D but might move to the smaller 5000X/D

Current fans

2 intake HD140

an exhaust fan standard corsair that came with the case

3 fans on the 360mm aio h150i pro - these arent as loud

My recommendation would be Noctua's NF A14s or Thermaltake Toughfan 14s for intake and their 120mm variants for the rad. Unless you're including RGB. In that case, I'd just buy a couple rgb fan frames and call it a day.

Noctua. If you don't care about RGB, Noctua is your one stop shop for silence.

You can save some money and just do Thermaltake ToughFans. On noise levels they are comparable but longevity hasn't been tested as they are too new.

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2 - Windows 11 Pro

Indeed, for 140mm's

Otherwise Noctua NF-A12x25's which are higher quality than thermaltakes toughfan, just they only come in 120mm and brown.

I don't think you can get better than these, they have both high airflow and high static pressure, most are one or the other.

Looks like a 4 or 6 LED fan. hmm
Btw i took a multimeter to a 8 LED fan:
105,6 mA for Red or blue or Green
206 mA for yellow

260 mA for white
Rated for 190-200mA from manufacturer

ya white use all 3 colors so test should be with white on max brightness. but different chips will use different amount of power.

Honestly? If those stats are right, the fan at 600rpm producing 55cfm @ only 18dba is really awesome. It seems too slow to be moving that volume of air though; Note the NF-A12x25 only claims a max of 103 M3h (60CFM) at 2K RPM and 22dBA

manufacturers numbers have been proven to be flawed and any fan test we do is also faled. gn is working on a way to test fans but like a few years down the road with an $30.000usd

testing static pressure has also bee flawed.

so the stats mean nothing really in the end.

all i no is the fan i have is quiet and pushed a lot of air.
