This is the part that confused me the most. The biggest complaint I see about windows on this forum is windows update and how they don't like that things keep getting changed and broken. And yet so many people here have been trying to install Windows 11 forcefully.

Some of the people I see complaining are also some of the ones that installed it. It's a very strange dichotomy.

Is it really that strange though?

For example I got a fair bit of complaints regarding Windows 10. Therefore, I installed and tested Windows 11 to see if it changed anything for the better.

I've said it a lot in the last couple of days, but people do NOT hate change. People hate bad changes. People hate changes they have no control over. People hate changes that they do not see the benefit of. Changes that helps them are not a problem. The problem for Microsoft is that a lot of their changes have been bad.

I guess we can't be sure if there is some type of killswitch in it like a timed one, but if they had a way of remotely shutting it down then I think they would have have used it already.

I also tried turning the date forward on my computer and nothing happened. Doesn't seem like it has a timed killswitch for the next year at least.

The previous ones were just a hardcoded date kill, nothing super complicated but that was also an open Beta program and not really like this situation at all I guess.

Why is it the top one makes me want to call it "Stalker 11"?
Reminds me of a certain tune from the mid-80's by Rockwell......

"If you ever need anything please don't hesitate to ask someone else first"..... Nirvana
"Whadda ya mean I ain't kind? Just not your kind"..... Megadeth
Speaking of things being "All Inclusive", Hell itself is too.

Pretty much my situation with Macs and MacOS

Snow Leopard was the last good one, and, except for heat issues, the 2012 non retina macbooks were the last good macs.

One day I will be able to play Monster Hunter Frontier in French/Italian/English on my PC, it's just a matter of time... 4 5 6 7 8 9 years later: It's finally coming!!!

Phones: iPhone 4S/SE | LG V10 | Lumia 920 | Samsung S24 Ultra

Laptops: Macbook Pro 15" (mid-2012) | Compaq Presario V6000

Other: Steam Deck
