What's the benefit (noise, temperatures)?

Temperatures, before the front fans were only pulling air through the little side slits, I'm already showing a cooler temp on the GPU. The top was just done to match the front.

Went to Home Depot and bought the metal panel sheets they sell and a role of aluminum A/C duct tape. Just cut to fit, not that think of a material, and cut the tape in small strips to fold over the edge to give it a cleaner look. Spray painted it white to match and used a little glue to attach.

Yea a little pricey but I wanted the size and the hidden compartment for the power supply and wires in the back and not the basement.

i might have to do some case mods to my nzxt h510 case for better airflow. might try the same thing , (or just drill holes in the front)

but that looks really good. 🙂
