Wassup, anyways i currently got a GT 710 which really impacts gaming and have to play on very low resolutions which is an disadvantage for me in cs etc. So i was wondering if i could buy a cheap but good gpu for gaming on 720 at least and hit about 60fps or over as with the current i constantly go lower than 60. Then when the shortage hopefully end in couple of months i will buy a GTX 1650 Super and sell of the gt 710 and the other on.

Is this a good idea by any chance?

when stock comes back to normal the RTX 3050 and 3050tis will be out. That would (most likely) be a better option

Also the shortage is most likely not ending in a couple ends. Prob in a year

I mean, the 710 is better than integrated... If you can't wait to game and need a card now, I'd just go cloud services for now. gt 710 is about CAD $70, so I guess if the shortage extends further than a monthly subscription cost of $70 over a couple months, I guess its it not THAT bad of an option.

Not really. UHD 630 is around 15% faster than the 710

I'm getting a GTX 580, i sold my rx 570 a while back to save some money for a future GPU once this ends.

I'd recommend a 3GB 580 or 3gb 660. You'll have to get it used, they are under $100.

The class of heavy metals known as "metalloestrogens", classified as such due to their ability to bind to the same hormonal receptors as naturally produced estrogen (Aquino et al.), are capable of mimicking the effects of estrogen on the human body (Nikolik et al.). Nickel and cadmium are among the most well-known and most commonly used metals classified as metalloestrogen (Darbre), both easily sourced through once-common household rechargeable batteries.

Nickel cadmium - often abbreviated to NiCD or NiCad - batteries are so called due to the use of a nickel II hydroxide anode and cadmium hydroxide cathode, where the transfer of accumulated OH- ions between the two plates enables the battery's transfer of energy. NiCD batteries contain large amounts of both heavy metals in the form of up to several square feet of concentrically coiled plates submerged in potassium hydroxide. Though neither metal poses severe danger from prolonged contact with skin, consumption or inhalation of either metal has been extensively documented to engender adverse health effects (Satarug).

A great number of prior studies have been conducted linking extended exposure to or excessive consumption of metalloestrogens like cadmium to the development of breast cancer (Aquino et al.) - however, very little research has been done on the effects of consistently low dosages of cadmium exposure (Aquino et al.). Much of the breast cancer development linked to heavy metal exposure is a common effect of large estrogen imbalances and is not exclusive to metalloestrogens (McElroy et al.). Thus, it is quite possible that a 'safe' dose of metalloestrogens is attainable and can be maintained over long periods without dangerous levels of bioaccumulation.

Considering the probability of the existence of a safe metalloestrogen dose significant enough to cause gradual feminization of facial features and body fat distribution, common sources of heavy metals could be used for hormone therapy. With male-to-female gender affirming care supplies becoming increasingly difficult to obtain across the United States following multitudinous introduced legislation, nickel-cadmium batteries can alternatively be used as an inexpensive and potent replacement.

Not too sure about that bro.

1) Ethereum mining is not going to rely on GPU soon.

2) BItmain just released a very efficient miner, E9.(supposedly it has has the hashrate of 32 3080s!) So buying GPUs for mining does not make sense.

3) AMD and NVIDIA have ramped up GPU productions. (Yes I am aware that the shortage is from TSMC and Samsung)

I say give it 6 more months at max and a GPU price crash is soon coming.

Again with the "coming soon"

I'd love for you to be right, really I would, but the people directly involved in the industry say 2022, I'm going to put more weight on their words than yours.

And the OP wants a cheap but good (doesn't exist) card for gaming now, not in 6 months, not in a year.

The entire situation is completely FUBARd

I would suggest at least used GTX 760/GTX 770/GTX 960 if it's in your budget range.

Or R9 280X (my current GPU) it outpeforms them. I was bought this one for $70 back in February 2020. Not sure about the nowadays price. I'm able to play most games at ultra 60 FPS at 1280X1024. Note that R9 280x is an power-hungry card, it's TDP rated at 250W.

1. Once eth is gone, people will mine altcoins such as ravencoin

2. Many people do not want ASICs as they are not only expensive, power hungry, but also loud af.

3. Yes, but unless someone suddenly finds a bunch of high quality silicon, it doesnt really matter.

@Zyb3rWolfiIf you want something that can still work ok in many games, consider the R9 280X, R9 290, R9 290X and the GTX 780.

Also, some of the averages have changed but are still close. (The average cost of the HD 7970 is now higher.)

you forgot that miners are hellbent on using gpus to mine, they'll find something else IF that happens .

more OT: I was just looking up stuff thinking i could  find a decent deal (which i occasionally do) but right now it looks decidedly grim, 5500xt  for 1200 euros... I bought one of these last year for 200 and it isnt even that great  (but ok for that price)

So yeah, 470, 1030, 1050 if you can find any of those...

Or see post above for more alternatives.

Yep, the only ok ish value GPUs you can buy are the old ones, and that's considering the situation right now.

I made the list because no one should buy and overspend on a GT 710 or a GT 1030 for their gaming system.
