(I can't believe I have to ask this) Vertical CMOS battery orientation on Chinese x99 motherboard?

Apparently the board doesn't come with a CMOS battery. I have a few here, but there is no indication on which way to install it?

I'm embarrassed to even have to ask this question, but Google doesn't seem to turn up anything, nor does an Image search...so here I am, wasting bandwidth asking this stupid question.

No manual, (at least not that came with the board) and no +/- symbol that I can find on top of or on the bottom of the mobo.

Hence the blisteringly stupid question

This image (from an Intel board) sucks because it is small but the carrier might have a rounded edge (inside big red square) where it meets the battery:

This picture is wrong, the part that touches the edge is positive, because it also touches the face (on the back side) and it would short the battery.

The part that touches the center is the negative end, it's designed to touch only the center of the face and not any edges.

Try one way, if it doesn't work, try the other.

Heh, I didn't want to burn anything out by trying that, but I did flip the battery to the orientation in the pic above, and that seems to hold settings.
