@tdkid Yeah, I needed tons of cooling. its a 3990x with 2 RTX Titans and a 2080Ti all watercooled. I have another 1000D for my main case too. I love it. not sure if it was worth the price though.

the price is not the best i have to agree but its hard to argue with a case that can have up to 34 possibly 36 fans depending on a few details. can handle any size motherboard and still have room ro expand. i have one too and it looks empty from what i have in it but upgrading slowly over the years.

the thermaltake level 20 is 2x the price and can hold a ton more storage systems but that is what it was designed for.

With a ton of help from "TheBeardedHardware" guy's discord channel, I was able to get it to boot with 3600MHz

Looks like you're the most expiernced customer on planet earth when it comes to this MB. I was wondering if you can help me with some info

I have a setup of 3970X, 256 G.Skill F4-3600C16Q2-256GVK, populated almost every slot / port on the MB.

There was this weird issue where the Device Manager (windows) keeps refreshing, when booting into linux or Proxmox, it used to complain about some usb hub that keeps connecting/disconnecting (i think it was Port_#0003.Hub_#0005), which i don't know which exact Port it was affecting.

Months later, the OLED diagonistic display died, but the toggling issue stopped 🙄

I live in Australia and i bought this from NewEgg (thought it would fall under Australian warranty since newegg was showing prices in AUD), they are offering me refund only, no replacement despite the fact they have in stock.

I was wondering if i made a mistake buy TRX40 platform, I do gaming (RTX 3060 Ti, Dota 2, CoD Warzone, PUBG, Rocketleage, GTA V, etc) but mainly work (VM's etc). Maybe i should opted for a WRX80 and benifit from the IPMI, or wait for TR 5000...

thoughts?

My personal opinion is yeah, you made a mistake. I seriously considered getting the RMA parts and sell them, then going to EPYC or something else. I feel like maybe the pandemic or something caused QA to be rushed, or something. this is a finicky setup. if I want to run at 3600MHz, I have to power on my machine, then let it post in safe mode, then let it reboot. THEN it will boot. if I want to get into the BIOS, i have to remove my SAS card. This platform is seriously overkill for a gaming rig. I have over 20 VMs and a couple dozen docker images. also around 200TB of hard drive space with a ML VM using those Titans. it was a way for me to consolidate, but if I had to do it again, id do something different
