Finally got my parts

After a few months of planning finally got my parts.

 

List:

CPU: fx 8320 (amd for em bbw's *wink*)

Motherboard: Gigabyte 970a

Ram: G.skill 2x4gb

Harddrive: Seagate 1tb hybrid sshd

GPU: R9 270x (was going to get the 265 but found a few extra bucs)

PSU: Cooler master v-series 550w Gold standard (someone please tell me this is enough)

Case: Corsair 200r

 

All up cost me $1000 usd

 

Unfortunately when i got the parts i forgot to check if they gave me all the parts and so then when i got home and checked i saw they never gave me the mobo so they are checking the cameras tonight and hopefully ill have it by tomorrow.

I hate to break it to you, but you're gonna need 1000w or more... ;) But otherwise build looks pretty good. I like the choice of a hybrid drive.

i thought 8 core amd cpus didnt work on that motherboard?

the guy at the shop said it will

lol, read parts as "pants". makes everything much funnier.

The build looks pretty solid btw! :)

my cousin has that build with the same parts except for the mobo its runs games pretty solid on 1080 and he also has 550 supply no problemo whatsoever

just checked on the website and the d3p which is the one im getting supports it.

A lot of boards "support" the fx 8 cores but that doesn't always mean it will run on them. I literally have to help people with this issue almost on a weekly basis and I just had a buddy irl buy his setup and accidentally get the Asus m5a970 that doesn't have the power phases heat synced and he burnt his board out in literally 5 days. I believe the Gigabyte 970a d3p does have the power phases heatsynced but you might want to make sure there is as much airflow over the power phases as possible.
