Have you tried to let windows update install the drivers?

I have, but it doesn't seem to do it.

Everything works fine on the other mobo but
1- it's an ITX mobo, meaning that i can only have four HDDs and one NVMe SSD
2- it's an ITX mobo which means i can't securely attach it to my case because it's physically is too small. Using it was only a workaround
3- it's an ITX mobo so I only have a single PCIe slot, which isn't enough as I have two GPUs and a wireless VR card that both need PCIe.
4- it's a b450 board, which has worse power delivery and doesn't support PCIe 4.0. Even worse, it did make a difference with my 3600.
5- I didn't pay a $190 mobo to not use it to its fullest... That would be the least of my concerns but it's still one of the issues with not using it

yes, but having the working mobo gives you some options.

you can make a full backup of your os drive, put that aside and then install windows fresh on the other mobo and another hard drive - -  I would actually suggest not to use an m2 drive for now because those are known to make issues on some motherboards.

Btw I would also double and triple check your mobo actually supports that many sata drives, some mobos disable sata slots when an m2 is detected... (I kinda believe that's where the root of your issues is most likely)

So yeah, check the hardware you want to use is *actually* supported and think about how you can fresh install windows without losing your data (which will likely require an empty hard drive obviously)

You do have some options here, but your current install on the m2 is most likely not gonna work, you have to find a solution / work around here.

Okay so your OS actually boots into your desktop, but your HDD isn't showing up  because it needs SATA controller drivers, and windows isn't letting you install them.

Re-upgrade your OS to the same version you're currently using, that will rewrite all of the OS files and hopefully fix your problem.
