Please report the PMs and we can handle things from there. We can't see PMs before they are reported, nor see which accounts are at fault.

 

Spam in general is ongoing issue, and all the measures which can be taken, have been taken. PM system, for example, has got some updates after some previous mass spam waves. All spam, advertising, pornography or otherwise unsuitable or malicious content should be reported. We have better chances of getting rid of them fast if you report them.

Just wait for it. I bet many people are receiving these

 

What happened?

I keep getting messages from user profiles that are pretty much blank asking me to follow links to sex and porn content. I have already blocked three of the profiles that sent me messages and no longer have view access to provide profile information. I have a feeling that the LTT Forum admins can see this on the back end. 

 

What did you expect to happen?

support staff can weed out the people using the forums as a platform to solicit porn.

I don't know whether I'm happy I've never received one of these or sad that nobody is sending the porn links my way 🤔

I got one as well,i reported it at the moment i saw it.

It's not exactly porn,it's more like the "hot singles in your area" type of ad,and the bot is the single 😄

My account is like a week old with 100+ posts. I've gotten 2 of these messages so far. I tried to report but there was no such button. 

 

To the mods: Not a good look for your website. I almost just left when it happened. Huge red flag. Potential security issue.

There is a report button, it's the ! button under posts/messages.

 

Unfortunately there is simply no bulletproof solution to spam. We have a number of measures in place, but when the spammers are creating new accounts from clean emails and clean IP addresses, and posting links to sites that haven't been posted before, we have no way of determining automatically whether it is spam or not. When content like that is reported as bot spam, it is generally acted on very quickly, to ban the member, remove all their content and remove all recipients from PMs, but that is the best we can do.

Well what I meant when I said 0 posts is that I was confused as he posted this and I don’t see a button to hide it
