Wanting to access my pc files from remote locations.

What would be the best solution for accessing my files from anywhere?  Mobile access is not need.  Suggestions?

FTP isn't very secure, so you probably want something like SCP instead.

 

A VPN is probably the best method, and the most secure, then use samba over the vpn.

No, FTP is incredibly insecure. VPN would be the best option.
