Sending DM on the forum takes time

Browser, version and OS: Chrome, Windows 10. iOS 13.smthn Chrome

 

Steps to reproduce/what were you doing before it happened?

Be in a DM on the forum and send something takes like 20 sec

 

What happened?

Messages takes a good while to send in DM

 

What did you expect to happen?

I expect it to take like at least 10 or 5 seconds

I assume this is about the time it takes for the message to send, not from sent to revived.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

No the time it takes to send like when I press the submit reply button

Yah, that's what I was talking about, that seems excessive. Is any other network trafic slow for you? Worth checking if it's just WiFi being derpy, that's when I've seen similar behaviour

Other people in the DM are having the same issue and this only happens on DMS

Ait, haven't touched DMs lately but that seems like a wider issue perhaps then.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

The reply that I presume prompted this topic took 55.55s to submit. I can do some testing, but you know off the top of your head if it's just that PM or all of them? That PM looks pretty large based on the request logs, so that may be a factor here.

Same issue appears in another DM that is smaller

The smaller one is 100 ish messages, this happend recently

been an issue since ~3 days ago

sometimes it takes very long, then after a while it's back to normal

so far i never replicate it in other DM, though

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I managed to get it in a DM between me and sub could the users have any impact?

Definitely long delay in that DM, nothing wrong with our test DM

not sure if it'd be helpful to mortis, but the network log under dev tools could maybe help. I know he asked for them once...
