check display settings? Idk, if you can't find any on xbox or monitor that work, if you can't then just pretend I said nothing.

Check your monitor osd, it's likely that your monitor is stretching it, not the console

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Consoles are made for TV and expect 16:9 ratio.

Most games are made for that ratio in mind.

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

That means Moonzy is probably right and its the monitor. Just look around the osd its unlikely to be something hard to find.

I mean to demonstrate that it's panel scaling

And if xbox is sending 16:9 but displaying other aspect ratio, it's most probably panel doing the scaling

Aight, kindly mark the thread as solved so people can find the solution when they have this issue

Also considering changing the title to something more descriptive like "xbox scaling to ultra wide?" Or smth
