D15 + P500A RAM clearance question

Zantomaku

Hello.

I'm making a new build that would have following parts:

CPU: Ryzen 5900x

MB: Asus B550-F

Graphic card: Gigabyte 3080 Vision OC

Case P500A

RAM: Gskill F4-3200C14D-32GTZSW

For CPU cooler I decided to go with Noctua D15 Chromax Black. But some people point that I might have issues with it with PCI-E slot and current RAM. I'd go with D15S but I can't find it anywhere in stock to order it. So I decided to go with regular D15 Chromax Black.

Do you guys think this CPU cooler would fit normally to my build or I need to look for something else?

It will fit, but you will have to raise the front fan a bit to get it over the RAM modules. The P500A has a very tall CPU clearance though so it shoudn't be an issue

Thank you for explanation. Two more questions:

1) Raising the front fan will affect temperatures and airflow in any negative way?

2) The D15S is going to be pretty close to graphic card backplate. Are there any negative effects airflow wise because of it?'

I was thinking getting U12A which probably going to be fine but it will look odd in all white / black build.

  1. Nope, not at all.
  2. Airflow wise, nope.

What heat being transferred up from RTX 3080 and additionally heating up the CPU? Can this be the case if I'll have a large D15 heatsink?

If yes would using something like U12A solve this "problem" or this can only be sovled with AIO?

I found some builds with the same mobo + D15 on partpicker. https://pcpartpicker.com/builds/by_part/vFhmP6#h=261910,48108

You can see that GPU is really close to CPU heatsink. I'm just scared GPU is gonna heat up CPU more...
