PC Doesn't boot with XMP on

soton2020

Okay so this build is about ~4 months old now but I haven't fixed an issue I had since the start: I cannot use the full speed of my RAM. TLDR: Whenever I turn XMP on on manually adjust V and speed up from default, my PC will not post. It will stay in black screen for a while, then boot me to an error screen and prompt me to BIOS to either change settings or use the default setup. I can then boot normally with default settings only.

Not all of these components are new.

PC Specs:

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

CPU    Intel i7-10700K @ 3.80 GHz

Motherboard    GIGABYTE    Z490 Gaming X  --- BIOS   AMI    23/03/2020   3.2

GPU    Nvidia GTX970

PSU Corsair RM  650W

RAM Corsair LPX 16GB 3600 MHz 1.32v

Bear with me for any unlisted specs or images, I'm editing this post as I repeat the process.

just leave it at XMP, the chips are guaranteed to run at XMP, if they don't, return them.

yes, but as i said, just turn on XMP don't mess with anything memory related manually to see if they run at the advertised XMP.

The above images are the result of me turning XMP from off to Profile 1

Anything else was just me messing around to get it to work (well, only putting memory volt up to 1.36 and MHz to 3600)

don't do this, just enable XMP and don't touch anything else
