yea b450 might not support ryzen 3000 out of the box, so you need to check if it's compatible

MSI's MAX lineup (ie, b450 tomahawk MAX) is ryzen 3000 ready.

all in all, looks like a decent build, assuming you have the 980ti already.

you can get windows key from a cheaper source, if you'd like

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

but... why? So it's still going to take up ATX system worth of space with expansion options of an mITX board.

HMMMMMMMMM, that is a point, i could matx, but i think hes gonna change the case chice, but dont worry ill definitly use p4000d, i only need 1 pci-e, and 2 slots of ram, i think its because this is the first time im building a pc from SCRATCH, not just upgrading a desktop, but those other pc have served me well, so well, the expirince has been great, but imagine 1440p and 144hz, oooooooooooo that is some damage

also i do not plan overclocking anything, i just want a pc that can play games, ive never seena over 100p\fps game i dont think, or a 1080 pmax setting game

Keep in mind that new 250$ cards match the performance of that card and it is already on the older side too. I wouldn't go for it unless you get an amazing deal. Also keep in mind most of them if not all have dried up thermal paste by now so they need that refreshed.

also i found 780 ti for $100 they dropped, 980 ti raised, i dont wanna spend money on 1660 ti, i dont like how much they cost for the performance of 6gb, when i can get 1070 ti for that much or 1070

Oooor you know you just get one of these (listed from worst to best) gtx 970, r9 290, r9 290x/r9 390/rx470/rx570, r9 390x, amd fury/gtx 980,rx480/gtx1060/rx580 gtx 980ti/gtx1070/vega56.

The gtx 1660ti falls at the 1070 performance level. 780ti should not even be considered due to the low amount of vram.

Euhm why not get a rx580 or 480? same price as the 970 but a bit better and they have the full 4gb of vram or even 8gb depending on what you get. The 970 is not a gpu I can recommend to get anymore as a lot of games use the 512mb of vram that is defective on every 970 making the performance tank.

You know that the gpu in there most likely won't work on windows 10 right? Those things are a decade old and don't have driver support anymore so they rely on a basic display adapter driver from ms which makes 3d aplications basically impossible to use

The 970 has a manufacturing defect which causes the last 512mb of ram on the card to be really really slow which when used in games makes the card perform terrible. This is why I recommend other cards. The 580 and 480 are very very solid cards.

The card has 4gb of vram however of those 4gb 0.5gb is defective and runs far slower. When a game uses this ram after filling up the 3.5gb of fast ram the performance of the card goes down a lot and the framerate in games drops rapidly. Nowadays it is very common (even for fortnite) to use over 3gb of vram at a minimum easily for games so that bad 0.5gb of vram is getting accessed often and leads to poor performance.

yes, season 4 fornite was like 6gb storage, now its 32gb of storage much more demanding, so i see why 480 or 580, but i see feel like getting gtx 980 ti if DEAL, but tbh, i havent seen fornite on high setting s in YEARS, because lost xbox live memebership, so i feel like low settings no effect, so i will take a radeon for now, but deals await

plus my dad said $200 cpu budget, and $200 gpu budget, so that is alot of breathing room
