Your advanced thanks is literally welcomed in the future. Unfortunately my dark matter reserves are depleted after the first round trip. Regardless, there may be buyers remorse in the future if big navi ends up a big deal.

In all seriousness, yes. Over the past few years, Ryzen CPUs have tended to drop gradually. The Ryzen 7 2700X launched at $330 US, and I got mine for $200 a couple months before the Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) launch. Similarly, the 3600X was $250 at launch, and is down to about $200 now, with the XT taking that original spot. The drops aren't drastic, and it may take a while before any SKU sees a significantly better deal.

Looks like no, it won't drop what's currently already cheaper than launch price any time soon.

Probably after 3 months when the older stocks aren't selling anymore (lost it's interest).

What model are you talking about?

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

I have a 1600af I was able to snatch for $85 on amazon (basically a 2600) which is adequate for my demands currently, but I'm itching for a 3600. Once the price drops to around $150, I'll be on it. I have a low end b450 board (asrock b450 hdv) so that's probably the last gen ryzen I'd be able to install thats relatively safe.
