I am having trouble choosing what entry-level graphics card to buy

Newblesse Obblige

I was planning to buy a graphics card for the 6 months now. I already saved up money for purchasing one but I can't still decide whatgraphics card I should choose.

RX 570 or GTX 1650.

a new 570 with a new cheap PSU will cost around $200-250 (base model price to most expensive priced gpu)

a new 570 with a new reliable PSU will cost around  $220-270

a new 1650 will cost around $165-210 alone

all prices were converted from my local currency to USD

I personally like the 1650 more than the 570 as uses low power and widely available(always in stock unlike the 570) in my country and the 570 is always sold as used(I like it brand new), only few sell one even though it is very popular(demand is high but only few sellers sell one or it is always out of stock) and I'm going to buy a new PSU just for it. I going to play Genshin Impact, GTA 5, Minecraft and Valorant. I am not planning to play triple A games.

I dont like to invest more on upgrading my PC as I might get a laptop soon when I go to college next year(assuming I could actually graduate or universities are still open next year lmao). I might even buy a GTX 1050 Ti because of that too.

According to the website of my local PC parts vendor (Memory Express in Canada), I can find a brand new RX580 or an RX5500XT for about $197USD, The cheapest 1650 is $159USD, a 1650S is $178USD. The RX580 has 8GB of VRAM versus everything else only having 4GB, so in my honest opinion I would probably get an RX580 not an RX570, as you will get more bang for your buck. That is of course unless you're on a really tight budget in which case I would take a 1650S.

*Edit* I would not go with a 1050Ti, as you can get more with your money by going with the above products.

Buy a used 1070. Its about 200 dollars on ebay and will outperform both the 1650 and the 570, as well as the 5500xt and the 580.

I am aware of there being both 4GB and 8GB versions of an RX570, but specifically the RX580 I priced out at $197USD is the 8GB version. My local vendor no longer carries the 570, therefore I did not include an option for a new one.

So Im just throwing this to the world but the RX 5300 is coming out sometime in the next month and AMD are saying that its stronger then the 1650 and it cheaper.

So the 1650 is stronger, but not by a lot but you want a relible PSU, trust me.

a used 570 is scarce in my country and you won't find a $100 used 570 as it is sold on other country so the shipping fee($10 to 20) will add up to the price

1070 that are sold here in my country is scarce too and Nvidia cards still hold its value by a bit here plus it is power hungry than the rest of the cards

depending on the game 570 / 580 absolutely destroy 1650.

get it new if you must, or rx5500

I'd go for the 570 myself. Better performance overall by about 10%.
