Well, he's wrong. I liked vista, and I'm sure plenty others of you did as well!

I like Vista. Sure, it was plagued with security and virus issues, but it was a damn sight better than XP.

64 bit Vista a year or two after release was good but 32 bit never really got any fixes.

Disliked Vista but I had a Vista theme on my XP system so let's say that I liked it a bit.

Although the performance was reeeeeally bad at first, but a year later it was an actually good OS IMO.

Vista wasn't as bad as many people claim. I bet you most of the people hating on it wasn't even old enough at the time to develop an actual opinion on it (like the guy above me). Vista had its fair share of flaws, the biggest being how much more performance was needed to run it in comparison to XP. Other concerns was security flaws and the UAC, however these were never really apparent to me as you could turn the UAC off and the security issues were patched fairly quickly or could be dealt with by third party software. I used Vista from Build 5365 and up until the Windows 7 RC.

I liked Vista. I was young and it was a new operating system and had lots of fancy new features and effects. We got a new PC around the time of Vista and it came with it so it was quite fun, then Windows 7 beta came out and i just updated it constantly with the new betas which were very stable. Never really looked back at Vista, and since then i've just bashed it

I do remember the driver issues and all that though. 64 bit was just starting to become popular.

If someone offered me Vista Pro 64bit SP1 for $40 Vs Win 7 for $88, I'd most definitely chose vista.

 

Also, Vista actually had some visuals I like more than on 7. (remember the sidebar?)

Vista wasn't.... horrible. I mean it was a step up from xp with a few minor drawbacks.

I never really had a problem with Vista. It wasn't that good but it wasn't bad either. And the UI skin was a big improvement over XP.

People do hate on it quite often but it wasn't SUPER BAD, it was OK. I never got a BSOD but it did crash on me, with that said, so did XP. Vista, not the best, but not nearly as bad as people think.

I didn't really have any problems with it. I thought it was fine for an upgrade from XP. Then again I was about 10 and didn't really have any opinion of technology and only cared if it could let me play my browser games on cartoon network.

To me Vista 64 bit was the best looking and most customizable Os i have used to date once you figured out how to stablize it.
