i5 4570 vs i5 4570t

Hello, is there even any final performence difference between these? I know TDP is different but its same chip with same boostclock. Maybe Im overlooking something.

The T model is lower clocks and only a dual core. The other is a quad with higher clocks.

what the hell why is it even advetised as i5 If there are just 2 core, I really hate when manufacturer do this

Not sure why.... but they've been doing stuff like that for a long time.

No one consistently name stuff properly tbh. i5-4460T, which has smaller numbers, is a proper quad core.

The T suffix series are generally the lowest power desktop ones, below the S models then no suffix, and up to k or X. I guess they took inspiration from the mobile CPUs which often feature fewer cores than the similarly numbered desktop equivalents.

it does have  Turbo boost which wasnt available on i3s and below at the time.
