Could I drill these holes out to make them slightly larger?

Wait so you need a drivers licence and be at least 18 to order online? That sucks

 

But if that is the case even more reason not to risk bricking a laptop

dont have a dl, so i cant get to a store, and amazon and walmart, and most other online stores require you to be 18.

i've done this a few times on various pcb's with success, i didn't drill them though. i used a dremel to carefully sand/grind it to a bigger size. if you use a drill, it can be more aggressive than you want, and could rip chunks/or cause cracks if you aren't careful.

Lol, the thing is like 15 years old. I found one for 50$ on eBay.

it's amazing you can cut a Wii into a tiny piece and it still works but you can't drill out some holes in a laptop PCB

You can safely drill these holes out. You can make out the tracings visually, and none even come close to the hole.

 

Do what you gotta do, it'll be fine.

@HelpfulTechWizard It seems that they are designed to ground something, and may be or not be used for that.

 

If you want to be sure and have a multimeter, you can try to find connections to them.

 

It is a risk, though.
