How long does it take to manufacture a complete graphics card now days?

Like at max output how many 3080s could Nvidia or an average AIB manufacturer produce in a day/week/month? Just looking for ballpark figures not exact.

It depends on too many factors,for example: Number of factories,number of production lines per factory,manufacturing capacity per production line or total manufacturing capacity, yield,number of workers at a production line or a total amount,and there is more...

So the answer is that you should try asking the manufacturer.

Just in doing a search it appears that a typical factory will produce about 400,000 units per month with roughly 4000 of one card produced per day with an average of 3 die swaps or 12000 total cards per day. With the case of a new product that total number is reduced by 1/4 so you’re look at right now for the RTX 3080 about 1000 units per day per factory. This is where the numbers get funny because at current there are an estimated 11 factories producing PS5’s. ( I actually thought it was all made in 1 place) but one will make pcb’s one will make heat sinks, one will make cases or cooler shrouds etc etc etc. So we have to imagine that even if there are 5 factories producing a certain sku of 3080 you’re looking at about 5-10,000 per day for global distribution. The biggest holdup right now is actually getting items into the US due to restrictions from the pandemic.  Very long winded way of saying it’ll be a while before they are sitting on store shelves...

not really, they're asking for max capacity (so with factories etc already existing)

 

I'd say probably 1000 a day, but I have no idea.

I ordered at the end of July and I'll be surprised if I get them by November. Can only track one and it's going overland. Interesting watching which rout it takes. Last time I checked it was in Italy.

Reminds me of an order I placed years ago. It started in So Cal roughly 6 hours south of me, and that's with traffic. lol Somehow it went all the way to New Jersey and took over 2 weeks to get to me.

That's on par with Comcast routing all my internet traffic to the east coast, then the west coast, then back to my own town in the middle to connect to a seperate PC sitting on the desk next to me. (I was testing a telnet system being accessible over the internet) Comcast couldn't figure out why it was doing that either, but it added 300MS to the ping times for absolutely no reason whatsoever. They fixed it a year later when they upgraded their system to DOCSIS 3.0.
