So I'm running a give or take 10 year old 650W Corsair PSU. Been solid as a rock, but I know it won't be enough for a 3080. Suggestions on something that's currently available since PSU's are of such low stock and high price nowadays?

Why would you think a 650w PSU isn't enough?  Unless the rest of your PC takes 300w, you have enough headroom for it with 650w.

Really? If it's enough, that's awesome. My old i7 3770+GTX670 took more juice to run than my current system, and used this PSU.I know the R5 3600 doesn't take hardly any power to run.

Here is the PSU tier listing ->

You can review the higher tier PSUs and see if any of the are avaialble in your price range.

As far as "will a 650W work"...   We would need to know the rest of the PC components in order to provide better advice.

Both are pretty old processes so power draw is definitely up.  During gaming my 3700x and 1070 (a 150w TDP part) barely scratches 300w looking at the power meter on the wall.  So unless the 3080 takes more than double my entire current PC to run, you'll be fine.  If you want to be super sure, just wait for reviews, some will definitely touch on power draw due to the fact the FE 3080 comes with 2 8pin PCIE power and the AIB ones come with THREE.

I would look at replacing the PSU.   They do not last forever and will fail eventually.   I am not saying rush out and buy one.    You can wait for a sale or stock of the PSU you want to come back in stock.

I'd wait and see what AMDs got before buying hardware for a 3080.

Stock or OC?

good enough for rtx 3080. full system with r9 3900xt and rtx 3080 uses around 500-550w giove or take. around 600-650w when both gpu and cpu overclocked give or take. with only gpu overcloked around 600w at max.

The Dark Power Pro 11 is not 10 years old, and 650W will be plenty. A 3700X pulls 100W at full load on a bad day, probably not even 125W even if you were to enable PBO.
