Good PSU for this build ?

This is an upgrade of my 5 yo build. I am not doing gaming, only 3d modeling.

Budget : 90$

I bought the CX550 but someone told me that's it's a bad PSU so I wander if I should go with the RM650x/RM550x instead ? Is it REALLY necessary ???? or is the CX550 safe for hammering my 3900x at stock speed + a gpu that never get used over 20% of it's capacities ?

The CX550 non modular is a decent PSU.

It's fine. Upgrade to the RMx if you want 80+ Gold and modular cables. Otherwise keep the CX.

 

Did this person give any reason why the CX was "bad"?
