What PSU would i need?

Specs are x5650(gonna overclock) gtx1650super/1660super(havent decided yet) i used a watt calculator and it recommended me a 400w psu which i highly doubt would be enough.

any 450w psu will be neough for miles. tghought might wanna get decent 450-550w unit nto soem garbage one.

Tier lists for building a PC.

 

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

(Also case airflow matter or if you are using Downcraft air cooler)

Gpu tier list. Rtx 3000 and RX 6000 not included since not so many reviews. Tier S for Water cooling. Tier A and B for overcloking. Tier C stock and Tier D avoid.

( You can overclock Tier C just fine, but it can get very loud, that is why it is not recommended for overclocking, same with tier D)

(RTX 3000/ RX 6000 Might run just fine with higher wattage tier B unit, Rtx 3070 runs fine with tier B units)

Dual X5650 = 336W (so let's assume a heavily OC'ed single chip is 200W)1

1660 Super = 123W (let's say OC'ed 140W)2

Rest of the system I typically calculate as 100W, as described in the "how many watts do I need" thread3.

 

So that's 440W. Non-OC'ed a 400W would likely be plenty, but with an OC you'll want a 500/550W probably.

You made a calculation error 😁. That would be 540W.

2x 5650 = 336W, so I just guesstimated 1x 5650 = 200W.

1x 1660 Super = 140W

+100W.
