Posted August 14, 2020 The reason I'm asking is because I'm unsure whether higher junction temperatures are safe like AMD says, or if it's just bullcrap. At stock settings my MSI MECH OC has reached 104c junc temp at max while playing Overwatch. AMD says 110c is expected but I've undervolted so it stays between 80-85c (just over 70c normal temp.) Posted August 14, 2020 74C with a balls to the wall OC, low 50s normally. Mine's on water and a binned Liquid Devil though.

OC is just a distant dream for me, can barely handle stock.

Posted August 15, 2020 I have a 5700 DD Ultra I flashed to the 5700XT Thicc 2 (well some variant of the thicc, I forget) and on full load I see around 104-106 max junction temp, but since I play at 1080p it’s rarely pegged at 100% so junction temp while gaming is usually way lower for me
 Posted August 15, 2020 I picked up an Asus TUF RX5700 XT end of last year, and I massively regret it. Junction temps are in the 90s while 1080p gaming and I get a bad crash after 45mins to an hour. Similar to https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1167335-asus-tuf-radeon-rx-5700-xt-crashing/ You should RMA it and hopefully you get a TUF X3 EVO back from ASUS. The "EVO" is the "fixed" version of the card, as in it's still not great but it's actually functional, as opposed to the original TUF X3 that would overheat itself into the ground. I live in South Africa, so I am not sure if ASUS would accept the card all the way back from here. Im going to speak with the local supplier where I got the card from here. Also forgot to mention this is my second card, I had the same first one replaced like a week after I got it cause the HDMI port was dead out of the box. 4 minutes ago, RonnyDouglas said: Have you tried underclocking/undervolting it?
