Phanteks Enthoo 719 - Vertical Graphics Card Mount on top of Bottom case intake fans

Tuxdude

Hi everyone

I have just ordered the Phanteks Enthoo 719 case, arriving over the weekend. I have also placed an order for a Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT Special Edition card, which is on backorder currently. I am planning to mount this graphics card vertically.

The Enthoo 719 case supports dual system mounting - an ATX/E-ATX board in the top and a mini-ITX board in the bottom. The case provides vertical mounting options for both systems, i.e. both in the top and the bottom. I am only going to be using one system in this case, however plan to have additional PCIe cards (other than the graphics card itself), and hence want to run a riser cable and mount the graphics card vertically in the lower vertical GPU mounting area shown below. I am getting a TRX40 based motherboard, and so I am okay to use the lower most (of the four) PCIe slot if needed for connecting this riser cable.

The case does come with a vertical GPU mounting base that I can use to mount the riser card/cable. However with this approach I won't be able to mount the bottom case fans which also go in the same location. To provide better airflow for the GPU, I would like to have bottom intake case fans in this location and have the vertical GPU on top of the fans.

I am trying to explore if there are any slotted (or with vents) plates/brackets available that I can place on top of my fan and then use that to mount the riser card/cable (and eliminating the mount that Phanteks provides). Just based on some quick checks of other photos I could find, the height of the fan more or less matches the height of this base.

This way I might get more or less identical height to mount the card in the slots. I would prefer support for the graphics card from the bottom and not let the card supported merely by the rear side of the case, and that's why I am looking for some kind of plate or bracket which will make this possible.

Any ideas or thoughts? Thank you.

This might not be exactly what you had in mind, but @Mnpctech does sell a Fan mounted GPU bracket. although it would mean the card sticks straight up.

Thanks for sharing that. The bracket seems interesting. One option might be figuring out a way to use that bracket in the back of the case. Other is like you mentioned, the card is mounted vertically with the long side standing vertically. I will measure the dimensions once the case arrives and decide.
