RAM: Corsair 16Gt (4x4) DDR3 1333MHz
Motherboard: Asus Maximus V Formula
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690
Hard Drive: 2TB Western Digital

SSD: Some 128GB Intel
Sound Card: Asus ROG Xonar Phoebus
PSU: Corsair AX1200
Case: Cooler Master HAF X

By the way, putting a decent GPU inside would still make it a decent gaming PC.

PSU is a "Great Overkill" still.

if you put a rtx 2060 in it it can still hold up today 3770 is one the best intel cpus in terms of ageing 

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here

Totally agree, but also an SSD to go along with it.

I would'nt say stupid, as this PSU will probably last another decade. Better than buying a cheap PSU that one day makes a hissing noise to notify it's dead.
