High cpu temps on new build /AMD

Hi, I have just finished building my first pc and I was quite looking forward to getting it booted up and gaming on it, until I seen the temperatures on the CPU.

For context this is my build:

R5 3600
Stock cooler (have a hyper 212 evo but waiting on adapter bracket.
5700xt red dragon
Aorus  570x elite gaming
16gb ram
5x 120mm case fans, 2 front, 2 top, 1 rear.
Corsair spec 5 case
Acrylic silver paste applied

Temps I have seen:

Idle between 45-60 (1%usage)
Opening simple apps like chrome upwards of 65 (5-10%usage)
Gaming at anywhere between 70-85 (around 40% usage)
Prime/cinebench 95 after 1 minute.

Ambient temp is around 20°c

Now I know the stock cooler isn't very good and am waiting to fit my cooler master cooler, but i didn't think temps would be this high.

I haven't touched the bios/voltage/clock speed as I'm not quite sure on what to change or how to.

I noticed using ryzen master that the cpu core was up and down all the time, explaining the fluctuations in temps at idle. Any advice on how to reduce these temps?

Thanks!

Prime 95 isn't a workload a cpu would go through every day. 95c especially with the stock cooler is fine.

As for temps under normal load.

Yeah i suppose so with regards to prime 95.

I still expected idle and gaming temps to be lower however, especially with regards to gaming as im Currently only using maybe 30% usage as im not at anything higher than 1080p 60-120hzz while I wait on a new monitor.

Games don't really have to fully utilize the cpu.

Though temps are fine for the most part.

Thanks!

I also had these problems with my new Ryzen 2600. I lowered the idle temps and stopped the fluctuations by manually lowering the CPU voltage in the BIOS by 0.09.
EDIT: And yes, the stock cooler is trash, definitely worth it to get an aftermarket one.

The stock cooler for the 3600 sucks if your use to seeing low temps you won’t like it

those temps are on the low side for "stock", ur fine, i recommend a -0.05v voltage offset.

I'll give it a go at reducing the voltage once I have my other cooler installed. Gald you got yours sorted.
