Need help fitting psu into the case and aligning the screws.

CheetBurritoes

This is my first build and I got the Enermax Revolution D.F. 650W and the DLM 21 Mesh case. I didn’t want to cheap out on a psu and kinda wanted modularity and also that cool D.F. switch. When I try to fit in the PSU into the case at the bottom where the shroud is, the psu fits fine in the case, but the screws just can’t align. I started looking for why and saw that if I shifted it right just a bit the screws would align perfectly, it’s just that the D.F. switch on the power supply prevents it from aligning. The D.F. switch bulges a bit outward and when I try sliding the psu so the screws can align, the switch just hits the metal around the psu hole. I need help on how to fix it or if you can even fix it. I’ve been thinking of removing the metal that’s preventing the psu to slide into place because of the switch, but idk if it’s worth damaging my case. Any other ways to make it work?

It's because it's a crappy case.

PSU mounting holes should be on tabs.  "darkFlash" is so lazy that they can't even be bothered to cut out the PSU hole properly.

This is how the PSU area should be cut out:

Should I get a new psu/case or is there a way around it?

Dremel.

Otherwise, get a decent case.

You can make the holes oblong or bigger and use washers if the holes are too big, or cut/grind a notch for the switch.

Well you really only have two options.

a) See if it's upside down

b) Dremel/file

Otherwise just buy a better case and return that one.

I think the psu was meant to be upside down because the screw layout is the same when it’s upside down so I think I’ll have to dremel/file.

Incorrect.

The case dictates the PSU orientation.  No the PSU.

99% of the cases on the market, you can mount this PSU fan down.
