EDIT: I have bought stuff from newegg but probably won't again

And browse Newegg because it is easier to find tech specs

No, I mean you browse newegg over amazon normally until you know what you want then buy it from amazon, unless amazon doesn't have it

newegg for new stuff which is mainstream, otherwise amazon and ebay.

I am a female pc hardware expert and enthusiast, over 170 IQ, been in the tech scene since the 80s. get over it.  This message brought to you by me being tired of people which have problems with any of those things.   ~Jaqie Fox

I'll buy from amazon if it's smaller stuff like fans or whatever, or if microcenter doesn't have what I'm looking for. However, if I can find it there, and can justify the drive (35 minutes or so one way) I'll go there. I like to give business to a retail store, especially one that I feel does so much right. I used to be a huge proponent of newegg, but they've been really getting on my nerves lately. The last straw was when my christmas presents got lost in the mail. I understand that that wasn't their fault. However, when I called in to tell them, they basically said we'll get back with you in two weeks after we review the case and let you know if we've been able to find it, and if not we can send out a new one then. I told them to just give me a refund and drove to microcenter and never looked back. That's not a good way to handle your customers.

I envy those with huge online retailers access. I bought everything from my local computer store, a lot of products not available and the price can go up to $300.

Nice. The best part is that is the specific store where I go (although I also go to the Yonkers store and the Paterson store.)

i go to the yonkers one as well

Microcenter. Boo ya.

Life is pain. Anyone who says any different is either selling something or the government.

I was curious as to what sites and stores are most popular among PC enthusiasts. If you have any other sites please specify below. If you have any feedback you can give about what sites and good and what are bad I am sure that the beginners would find it very helpful!

My personal favourite would have to be NCIX because of their "Great technology, selection and service"! ;)

Edit: Removed Best Buy, Ebay and Direct Canada and added local store. Multiple votes are now allowed!

At sites that don't charge extra for shipping to Finland.

But if I would order abroad it'd most likely be from Germany.

Its going to be a bit weird to answer, due to all the different countries.

Uk,

Scan, Overclockers, Novatech,Aria, Dabs, CCL. Use those to buy either components/peripherals/small parts like wires etc.
