will rtx 3000 super pop out later to screw everyone up?

the rtx2000 super lineup was a replacment to faulty memory for all rtx cards.

 

but without knowing if super will come out , how could we decide to buy upcoming rtx3000 ?

anyone who chases like that probably won't care anyway, and wait to see big navi too, there's a reason why nvidia had to go with 350w tdp to stay ahead.

PSA: No, I didn't waste all that money on computers, (except the main one) my server cost $40, the intel NUC was my old PC (although then it had 8GB of ram, I gave the bigger stick of ram to a person who really needed it), my laptop is used and the second PC is really cheap.

I like tinkering with computers and have a personal hatred towards phones and everything they represent (I daily drive an iPhone 7, or a 6, depends on which one works that day)

There is always something better around the corner. It's best to buy when you:

- Want/need something new

- When you feel like the performance/price ratio makes sense of a product.

 

It's not uncommon for Nvidia to release a 'better card' later down the line (i.e. the 780 ti, 980 Ti, the Super cards)

It wasn't. The early Micron memory issues were resolved about 1-2 months after the 2080Ti, 2080 and 2070 released.

 

It was released mostly to better compete with the Radeon 5700 series, hence why AMD had to drop the prices of those cards before they even launched.

Chances are there won’t be a super line up. It came out to compete with amd cards a year after the initial 2000 series was available. So even if 3000 super comes out, it will be a while and no one wanting to build/upgrade soon should wait.

Nvidia did a price drop too. They just masked 2070 to 2060s and 2080 to 2070s in order to avoid people looking back with their 2070/2080 and thinking they've made a huge mistake buying one month before.
