New PC build. Need Tips

He doesn't have access to the parts in your build, he's only looking at scorptec. Your cpu+mobo+ram combo is 250 dollars more and won't make any difference in gaming performance

*no* impact is a bit of a stretch, I would've slipped in a 10600k instead of that 3700x, but it's too pricey in aussieland. I'm also offering a 2080s in this https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/vVd3TC, which his build does not

It is but human, to err, to buy a PSU, akin to dirt,

but fret not, young Padawan, for we will tell you,

what will become, of that, which you have earned

that x470+3600 combo is not worth it. 600 bucks is too steep

he can literally get this for 2.4k (that mobo comes pre flashed, btw)

The b450 aorus pro has bad vrms and isn't capable of powering a 3700x.

Please, i don't want to sound mean, but please do a bit more research before recommending parts.

Bad advice is worse than no advice and is confusing for OP. Who should he believe? Me? You?

he never stated that he wants to overclock. the VRMs are particularly adequate for running a 3700x on pbo. Also, he specifically stated taht he wants a wifi board. This is not anyone's first choice

talking of which, recommending a x470 board is a bit suspect, for a 3600

oh, I was talking about the PB in my build. look above

Ok, take a look at this.

I'll buy this from scorptec:image.thumb.png.fcfbcf4aced0d78ad9fd066dd336bc0e.png

and then the cpu and ram from your build you sent from newegg.

Overall with shipping it's $2,277

the purpose of me doing everything was to accommodate a 2080s. no point going with my components if you can't get a 2080s. the rmx unit seems to be overpriced in aussieland too

it's a gaming plus max board, very capable one, with much better vrms than the b450 gigabyte you recommended, which is only capable of delivering 75A at 1.25V, and it overheats while doing so. 3700x with PBO requires about 100A (a tad less), so no, that board is not adequate.

anyway, I'll stop replying here, as we're only making the OP confused. you you want to continue debating, message me.

yes, I'm aware of the subpaw VRMs. I only do this in order to fit in a 2080s, which doesn't seem to happen with this scorptec store

looks good, apart from the motherboard. I'd go for one of these instead:

a 2080s is way too expensive, it is always over $2,600

The asus one is 20 more expensive for a much much better board, that is able to easily power any ryzen cpu, including a 3950 and future 4000 series.
