Not that hot if you're not doing fast transfer all the time. No and yes.

good value. Probably my pick for gaming pc. Its qlc, but that shouldn't matter much.

For low load, it won't really be a issue, and gaming doesn't need too much io normally.

Does your computer have an M.2 slot?

At those prices the Crucial P1 is probably the best value even though it's slower than all other nvme drives on the list (it's about on par with the MX500). For games it won't matter all that much anyway.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Avoid this one for sure since it uses QLC NAND (lower speeds and lower usable lifespan).

This is what I would recommend for a budget-friendly 1TB SSD:

Hope this information post was helpful  ?,

I'd go for the MX500. Offers pretty much all that the 860 EVO has to offer at $40 less.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC

Transcend 220S - if it's the SM2262EN-based one, it's easily the best value on the list.
