more cores usualy mean worst gaming. 8c/16t will be overkill for the next 5 years. Gaming is desined for gamers that have rigs 5 years old or even more, otherwise the d have a way lower audience. You are looking for a per core speed.
Also we don't pick sides by name.
Thing that you hate Intel is unreasonable
