High read low write speed SSD

Hi all,

 

My work is closely related to reading very large files (.svs) and processing them, I don't care much about the write speeds because the main bottleneck over there would be the 1gigabit network connection, but I really need high speed when it comes to read.

The write speeds could be as low as 500MB/s but I would really like the read speeds to be 2.5-3GB/s. Is there any SSD in the market available for this? The capacity can be close to 500GB to 2TB but the budget can be only from $100-$300 USD.

What form factor?

 

Id probably just get a m.2 nvme ssd if your system supports it, something like a sx8200 or sn550 or ex920 is probalby a good pick.

Any good NVME SSD from a good brand like samsung or crucial or intel will easily do 2-3GBps.
