How long has your HDD/SSD been powered on?

Download Acronis Drive Monitor. That's what I use.

Ideal, sure. But it's still within margin of error (in my experience). I had two Barracuda 7200.7s. One stayed around 26, the other around 50C. They both were the same age, and both died within a month of each other.

I don't know about continuous running  but i have 1 samsung hdd on ata interface for about 10 years and is still running very good.The pc stays on for about 12 h a day and i use that hdd very offen since is my download place.

35,555. That is how we write it in Germany. It's 35 Celsius + 0,555. (96-32=  64/1,8= 35,555)

Since it uses S.M.A.R.T. it shouldn't do that. S.M.A.R.T. has nothing to do with the operating system, just the drive.

I got the drive brand new about 1 year 1 month ago. I usually turn off my computer when I leave or at night.. It used to run hotter before I got a new case which has a fan in front of the drive cage. (I think it was somewhere between 90-110) I'm using this because I uninstalled CrystalDisk. I need to get it again..
