Thermal grizzly kryonaut manual spread or let the cooler spread it

I've heard some people having trouble with spreading the paste I have recently ordered some and I was wondering should I manually spread it or let my cooler squish it down to spread it?

allowing the cooler to squish it means less chance of air bubbles. higher risk of areas not having thermal paste though.

spreading it manually gives a risk of air bubbles.

there are guides online on which one to select depending on your cpu type(3rd gen AMD means more paste since the die is pretty much spread throughout the chip, intel will work with pea shaped)

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"

both are fine. as long as you don't apply wayy to little, anything besides that has a 1-2c variance max.

I always spread kryonaut since it is quite a thick paste. Air bubbles being able to withstand the pressure of a cooler is literally a myth and not a thing.

I have the exact same paste, it comes with a little spreader. That said I haven't used it myself, I've let the cooler just spread and it's been fine for me. It's just personal preference.

Just downloaded the manual it says to use the spreader so I guess I'll use that
