Released 1st set (oldest) of bunkers at Number Fields (Javelin) - 2200 tasks sent. Have another 3550 that I'll hold onto and we'll see how things shake out after an update or two.

 

11 GPUs working away at it in the meantime

 

Tasks have been accepted by the site but are still "Pending Validation" so we'll see how long that takes as that may impact when to stop the throw and when the latest another bunker should be dropped.

If we're aiming for 2.5m in Numbers and each job is avg 60 points (someone with Nvidia cards correct me as this is AMD) then we need 41,666 completed tasks to achieve it.

If we need to I can move CPU over to Numbers, the GPUs I don't think actually do much better than my CPUs can. Think we need to math out what we have, what we can complete each our and then what that would equal over 23 hours. Once we have that I'll know if I need to move CPUs.

@Gorgon Has 11 which are doing 2 task per GPU correct and 8 minutes per task?

 

At 8 minutes that's 7.5 in an hour so that's 22 * 7.5 = 165/hour or 3795 for 23 hours. I'm getting a very strong sense we are going to fall massively short....

NumberFields (Javelin) or Amicable Numbers (Cross-Country)? I’m doing NumberFields. 7:15 to 7:30 doing 2 concurrently on RTX 2070 Supers. Average 11:55 across the 6-GPU rig with 1060, 1660Ti, 1070Ti, 2060, 2060 Super, 2070a average about 75 points per task

Everything's running Rosetta. It does look like we have the slight potential to overtake Planet 3DNow! in the marathon but I wonder if all my CPU would be better in another event where we're in a lower position like Universe.

The 2200 tasks (165,00 points) I released 1 - 2 hours ago are just starting to get validated. So your saying I should release the the remaining 3550 tasks (266,250 points) bunkered sooner rather than later?

If all we care about is a good marathon position then we should go all in on that.. If we want a better general finishing position we need the amicable numbers crunched..

it seems amicable has a CPU and a GPU jobs.  LIke its been mentioned before the GPU jobs are super short and you can only bunker 20.  The CPU ones are little easier, but not great either,.

Personally I'm most concerned with Javelin, more in the if we are actually capable of doing twice our last throw then we need to do that 3 times. City Run is a very close second concern as we can pick up a decent amount of points there, 7th on that should be obtainable. Maybe switch to universe since if we miss that then that's it, Javelin has 4 throws including this one so we can fail this time and make up for it.

Only if it stops you from getting more jobs done. As long as we know our theoretical output we can look at compensating with CPU cores to pick up what missing.

Just upped the vCPUs on my big VMs from 72 cores to all 96 cores, another 48 in total. Other person's VMs have been doing nothing on those hosts so all mine now, too bad.

The other option is to hold on to them for the next throw and walk away from this one and bunker more for the next.
